Student Success Statement

"Take care of yourself and everything else will fall into place." - Coach David Diamont.

I think that this statement means that you should take care of yourself. Never do something thats bad for you, like do drugs and stuff. If you are good and always choose the right thn everything else will fall into palce. If you drink alcohol, you are not taking good care of yourself. Alcohol and drugs bring you down and its not good for yourself.

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students
Part 13

If you feel you do not naturally have all those characteristics, then do not despair. Each of them can be accomplished by your own application. You can use meditation and visualization techniques to initiate your vision, and they can certainly be learned both for that purpose and for each step you take to reach your goals, that of being a star student, a champion of doing what’s is right, and see yourself working hard to become outstanding, and you’re your dreams and vision will materialize as you pursue these objectives. Setting goals and objectives can be a personal or business technique that can be learnt. You can develop inner strength to succeed if you apply yourself to doing just that; that will enable you to recover from setbacks more easily.

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students

Part 12

What is important to you is that you, as you start to reach milestones in your ambitions, you appreciate your own achievements. It is a boost, of course, if others appreciate what you have done too, but appreciating yourself will strengthen your self-belief, and reinforce your determination to succeed. Some of the key characteristics you will find in those who are successful are perseverance, prepared to research, plan and work hard. Practice a lot even when things do not seem to be going well, and an ability to recover and learn from setbacks. At the outsets of whatever it is you are trying to succeed in, a strong vision of your future, planning, and setting yourself achievable targets can all play an important role.

“Be Wise – Never Use Drugs or Alcohol”

You should never use drugs. Drugs are very bad for you, and can cause death. If you are using drugs, you need to stop because you will get addicted and die. Another thing that is bad for you is Alcohol. Alcohol is very bad for you, and you should never drink. Drugs and Alcohol is stuff you should never try or do them. Some people say it makes you feel good, but at the end you’re going to die. You can get addicted to drugs or alcohol, and it can lead to many bad things. You can get diseases, addicted, and it can lead to divorce (if you are married). Everyone should always choose the right. Do the right thing, and you will have a long happy life. If you don’t do what’s right, bad things can happen to you. Any kinds of drugs can kill you, if you overdosed. Overdosed, means that you have done too much of it, and your body can’t take it no more. You will die, if you don’t stop doing drugs or drinking alcohol. Smoking is also bad for you. Just don’t do any of that stuff. If you get high, you can also die. Some teenagers do it because their friends do it and they want to fit in. Others do it to make themselves look cool, but it doesn’t make you look cool, it just makes you look stupid for doing it and going along with everyone else who does it.You should never even try alcohol or try doing drugs, because maybe you will like it and get addicted. Just never try it and you will be fine. Always do what’s best for you, and not what others say.

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students
Part 11

Whether studying or in general life, planning is an imperative skill. Here, we must strictly set the hours for studying and should promote regularity in doing so. Don’t put off your studies to the last moment (just before the test), because in that moment you will be feeling stress and pressure, and both factors will prove disturbing for your learning; that’s the high price of procrastination. During the exam, it’s important to forget about panic and stress. And if you are planning for your thesis, you may find this post useful. Other planning tip I frequently give is that, when you are assigned a homework, try to solve it as quickly as possible, several days before the required date, but don’t try to complete it perfectly and don’t submit it immediately. I always recommended doing homework early, but deliver it at the last day possible day.

“The Importance of Being Prompt “
I believe that everyone should be prompt. Being prompt means that you’re always on time, always ready. Everyone should always choose the right. Do the right thing. If you are late to a job interview or to any appointment, than that is a bad thing. People will think that you are always late and never ready on time. You should be there earlier rather than late. Being prompt is always a good thing no matter what.
Prompt means being on time. If you are always on time, or if you are earlier, that makes you look better. Being on time is always the best thing to do. Even if you are just 1 or 2 minutes late, it still makes your image look bad. If you say that you are going to meet someone at 7 in the mooring but you get there at 7:20, it doesn’t only make you look bad but you lied to them saying you were going to meet them at 7. Then people won’t believe what you say, and will not trust you no more. If you are always on time, you don’t need to worry about your image or the consequences that you will receive if your late. Since you are always on time, you will become a better person.
