“Honesty is the cornerstone of character. The honest man or woman seeks no merely to avoid criminal or illegal acts, but to be scrupulously fair, upright, fearless in both action and expression. Honesty pays dividends both in dollar and in peace of mind.”

--B.C Forbes
I think that what this statement is trying to tell us is that you should basically never lie. Honesty is what you need to not lie. Honesty is very important throughout your life. With honesty you can avoid getting in jail for any crimes committed, for example. Honesty is being fair and being able to tell nothing but the truth. Honesty will eventually pay off in the future, it always pays back!
Honesty
9 out of 10

Honesty is always the best policy. Employers need to know that they can trust you with everything from company credit cards to trade secrets. How can you work at honesty? You demonstrate integrity every day that you do your own homework and resist the temptation to cheat on exams.

What is honesty?
·         Honesty is telling the truth.
·         Honesty is straightforward conduct.
·          Honesty is being sincere, truthful, trustworthy, honorable, fair, genuine, and loyal with integrity.
You are being honest when you...
·          Do your own homework
·         Tell a friend the truth
·         Explain the real reason you didn’t turn in your homework
·         Keep your eyes on your own paper
·         Clean up your room after making a promise
·         Give the cashier the extra money she gave you by mistake
·         Write a report in your own words instead of copying
·         Admit you made the mistake
·         Keep a friend’s secret
·         Turn in a wallet full of money that you found

Year End Reflection

A. What did you accomplish this year?
I accomplished to learn a lot of things. I managed to get better at stuff i wasn't that good at.

B. What have you done this year that you are proud of?
I am proud that my grades were really low, and i improved a lot.

C. What new things did you learn about YOURSELF? Did you discover any new talents or interests?
I discovered that if i focus , i can do my best. I Give up before i even try , which is not right. I should always at least try.

D. What is one problem or struggle you encountered this school year that you overcame?
I would have a hard time doing my homework. My grades went down because i would not do my homework.

E. We often learn more from teachers than the subject they teach. What is a positive life lesson you have learned from a teacher this year? Why was this lesson important to you?
A life lesson i learned was that no matter how hard something is , you should always at least try. You don't know if you can achieve if you have not tried it yet. That's why you should at least try to achieve it and maybe  if you put all your effort and attention to it , you will achieve it .

Student Success Statement

" Stop worrying about whether you're going to win or lose and focus your full attention and what's happening right this moment . " - Phil Jackson : 11 Championships.

This statement means that you should always pay attention to what you are doing. If you focus on what you are doing then you will do much better on it. Focus on what ever you are doing. If you are not focused, they most likely you will not do it right. If you put your full attention to what you are doing then , you will win. Focus on what is happening right this instant , not what already happened or what will happen . Make sure that you always put in effort and your full attention to it. Choose the right, never do bad things. Good always makes better. Phil Jackson is a great coach. He always focuses on what is happening at the moment, thats why he mostly wins.

Time Management
8 of 10

Master the moments and you may be real pro when it comes to juggling the many demands on your time – classes, homework and activities – with some family help. College gives you an even bigger chance to sharpen your time management skills by doing it all on your own. And that’s a good thing since most jobs require multitasking. You might need to take care of current clients while attracting new ones, respond  to e-mails while working on a major presentation, or order tomorrow’s produce while planning next week’s menu.
Someone said, “Wherever you are best, be there.” Focus on the present moment and give it all your attention. Don’t let your mind drift and wander here and there when you need to be thinking and concentrating on the moment at hand. You can’t go back and recapture this moment, so make the most of it while it now. Master the present and you will master the future. Work smart by mastering the present moment.

Student Success Statement

" Truth is the only safe ground to stand upon . " - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

I think what Elizabeth meant to express was that you cant lie

forever, or you cannot depend on your lies/lying. Eventually the

truth always comes out, it always catches up to you. I guess this

means to not lie. You should not lie for anything because sooner or

later it will all come back to you. So you want to be in the truth,

the safe. The ‘safe ground’ they talk about is the truth, that is

where you want to stand and stay.
